Caterpillar conundrums

Does anyone know what type of caterpillar this is?  I found it under a Verbascum.  Im guessing it's a moth of some sort?

  2. It's an angle shades moth. I picked a few of them out a little while ago (on my own blog). They come in every colour from brown through the greeny-yellow you have to the bright green I had. Destroy! Destroy!

  5. Hi Ryan. I'm growing verbascum just to attract verbascum moth caterpillars - I love them, they're so colourful. Cheers, Simon

  6. These Verbascum seeded themselves in my raspberries. No idea where they came from but they are more than welcome!

I quite like caterpillars and I usually leave them well alone. The blackbird does have a liking for them though!
