My Guardian blog: The new allotment

Today saw the launch of a new series of blogs posts I'm writing for The Guardian.  Posts will focus on taking on and developing an allotment plot and this will run on a monthly basis.

I really hope you enjoy the new blog (just click the image above) and I look forward to reading your comments!

  1. A great read, Ryan - made me remember when I shared a plot with my Dad who taught me loads, when a stripling. Whenever new land is taken over, it's really important, too, to find out which perennial weeds are there and to develop an eradication plan.

  2. Really glad you enjoyed the post Nigel and thanks for the comment. There are more posts in the pipeline and who knows, weeds may make an appearance!

  3. "Think of it as restoring an antique to its former glory". Lovely. We are still waiting for that phone call, but I'll be following this with interest. All the best, Sian
