Hello and welcome to Ryan's Garden - a gardening blog borne out of accident and a long episode of concussion.
If you haven't already guessed by now my name is Ryan and this is my garden blog. I mainly write about my small urban garden, allotment and chickens. Useful and edible plants are my passion and I focus on issues of sustainability and self-sufficiency.
The blog started after a car crash left me unable to garden but not to worry I'm fine now. I had long thought about wanting to diarise some of the things I get up to in the garden and the blog will also act as an aide memoire for my growing year. Since that initial starting point things have evolved and what you see now is the continually changing result.
I love growing all things edible, ornamental and animal and I also love to write about them. I'm now in a position where I'm looking to expand my freelance writing work.
